On-site X-ray
Radiography, or x-ray, is the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging. X-rays are diagnostic images that are created by passing small, highly controlled amounts of radiation through the human body to capture the resulting shadows and reflections on a photographic plate.
The most common use of x-rays is to assist in identifying and treating fractures. X-ray images of the spine, joints, and extremities are performed every day at Advanced Bone & Joint, formerly St. Peters Bone & Joint , eliminating the need to travel to another diagnostic facility.
Images of an injury can show our doctors the tiniest details; even very fine hairline fractures or chips. X-ray images produced after orthopaedic treatment helps to ensure that a fracture has been properly aligned and stabilized for healing. Bone x-rays are an essential tool for orthopaedic surgery as well and may be used for spinal repair, joint replacements, or fracture reductions.
When you need x-rays, now you can feel confident that you and your loved ones are getting the best care possible.
